Carpatina Romanian Society was founded on November 1, 1902 and incorporated as an Ohio non-profit corporation on November 10, 1906. Carpatina is the oldest Romanian organization in the United States of America.
Carpatina is a fraternal benefit society dedicated to the mutual aid of its members and was organized to provide financial assistance to its members in case of sickness or death and to promote and preserve the Romanian culture and history.
Any person of Romanian origin, their spouse or descendants, or persons of other nationalities who are interested in promoting the Romanian history or culture may apply for membership in Carpatina Society.
Applicants must be permanent residents of the United States of America.
